Monica Jimenez is a Professional Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in process safety management and air quality compliance, particularly for chemical plants, semiconductor, refinery, and pharmaceutical production clients. She has assisted clients with Process Safety Management (PSM), state and federal air quality compliance and permitting issues, identification of emission sources, compliance auditing, quantification of emissions, and conducting Federal and state regulatory applicability analysis. She has also performed PSM audits and managed projects for clients to review procedures and processes across the corporation for gaps and best management practices incorporation.
Monica has been formally trained to perform HazOPs and LOPA studies for PSM programs. While in industry, she performed several revalidation studies. She was a member of the Incident Command team and participated in multiple Root Cause analysis. Other duties included participating in MOC, reviewing and updating procedures for the 14 elements and auditing the process in the facility, and participating in PSSRs.
Her experience includes Title V permit applications and audits in Texas, and state air permit applications, emission inventories, and PSD & NSR permitting and applicability analyses. Monica has also worked with regulatory agencies in Mexico since the recent energy privatization legislation. She also has Refinery MACT experience, including CC, HON, MON, HCN, OLD, and PHARMA MACT.
